is it summer yet?
so we just got back from a nice long road trip. how cool is that? we left on 5/21 just after my yard sale and got back home on 6/12.
during the trip we visited 18 states and 3 provinces. we got to see manhattan from a distance, atlanta, tampa bay, jacksonville, orlando, columbus, rochester, niagara falls, toronto, ottawa, and montreal.
we also bought a new car. didn't mean to, it just kinda happened. our a/c in our truck died en route to Jacksonville, and when we took it in to get it fixed, we ended up buying a new car instead. it's a 2005 ford freestyle. very comfy to travel in, and very flexible cargo area.
made a little money at the yard sale, enough to not have to take out cash during our trip (around $300). sold ugly gold college era sectional couch, college era dining room set, and a bunch of clothes and small stuff. it was a ton of work. not sure if i'll do it every year or not, but i'm glad it's over for this year. i want my garage back.
it's finally summer here. it was cold and miserable in may. the first week of may we had a nice warm day where we wore shorts, and then it snowed the next day. then it was cold and rainy for the rest of the month, stayed in the 40's. we were relieved to get to the dc metro area on our trip and find it was hot out down there.
now we're back home and it's cold and wet again. i am assured that they had some hot weather here while we were gone, but i don't know if i believe it yet. :P
so we're just trying to get caught up in the normal stuff of life again; paying bills, balancing checking acct., unpacking, laundry, grass mowing, getting new car registered, and starting to work with contractors for the two jobs we're hiring out this summer. should be nice to get something accomplished.
weight still down - this is so amazing. i am fitting size 10's now. I never would have dreamed that to be possible. i need to be better about my meds and supplements though. hubby is going to help me with that. gotta stay healthy, ya know.
